Ducati Monster M900

Ironically, in times of crisis, Ducati managed a giant shot with the monster. The motorcycle brand from Bologna in 1992 still belonged to Cagiva , was in economic difficulties and was close to collapse. With the 900er one wanted to construct only a cost-effective motorbike on modular principle, the relevant parts such as frame and engine were already present in the Supersport and Superbike models. Miguel Galluzzi modified the frame of the superbike 851, implanted the engine of the super sports bike 900 SS. Omission of fairing and other Plastic Stuff created the a Naked Bike. Under the name "M 900 Monster", Ducati presented the first prototype at the IFMA 1992 in Cologne, which was to become the style defining feature for a whole new generation of motorcycles.
